The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has new requirements for electronic recordkeeping and submission of injury and illness information: 

Who is affected

The new rule applies to establishments with 100 or more employees in certain high-hazard industries. These industries are listed in Appendix B to Subpart E of 29 CFR Part 1904. 

The required information includes: 

  • Date 

  • Physical location 

  • Severity of the injury or illness 

  • Details about the worker who was injured 

  • Details about how the injury or illness occurred
